Long sleeve shirt in a Supima cotton, grown in the USA. This ultra–fine, high–density typewriter cloth represents a technical achievement by the new generation of an established, family–run textile mill in Hamamatsu, Japan. In pursuit of surpassing the industry benchmark for the finest, strongest, and smoothest typewriter cloth, it reaches a density of 358 yarns per square inch, outweaving the previous record of 340. With 160 yarns in the weft and 198 in the warp, this cloth is extremely difficult to produce and requires the use of an older wooden shuttle loom, chosen for its gentler handling. Supima cotton is selected for its extra–long staple fibres, which are spun into premium yarns that are fine, soft, and durable, essential for weaving at this calibre. The resulting cloth is ultra–lightweight and breathable, barely touching the skin, with a fine, papery texture. It rustles and crunches with movement, and despite its delicacy, the density of the weave makes it supremely strong. When cared for appropriately, this garment will retain its shape and quality through repeated wear. Woven for MAN–TLE in Shizouka, Japan.Features pleated cuffs with single button closure, point collar, 15mm sew on army buttons and curved hem. Loose fit with slightly dropped shoulders and relaxed sleeves
